Winner of museum costume contest chosen in Seoul — Korea Herald
The final of the nationwide costume contest, in which participants transformed themselves into historical cultural artifacts, was held at the National Museum of Korea in Seoul, South Korea. Twenty-five teams reached the final of the 2026 Dress Like a Museum Exhibit contest, presenting exhibits from different periods and regions of Korean history.
Performances on the museum runway
The finalists gathered at the museum in the Yongsan district, with some arriving from the Gyeongsang and Chungcheong provinces. Participants walked the runway and performed to prepared music, recreating the forms and features of the artifacts. Some covered their bodies in gold paint, while certain handmade costumes stood more than two meters tall.
As Korea Herald reports, more than 2,000 people registered for the event in advance. Those present included contestants' relatives and friends, as well as museum visitors who came to see the artifacts brought to life in costumes.

Prize for a porcelain vessel
The grand prize was won by 23-year-old university student Jeong Eun-sil. She presented the image of a white porcelain water dropper shaped like a carp from the Joseon dynasty period, dated from the late 18th century to the early 20th century.
Other looks shown as part of the contest included the seal of Emperor Gojong of the Korean Empire, a manuscript of the Avatamsaka Sutra, a pensive bodhisattva, a polished stone dagger, and bronze rattles.
