Ukrainian celebrities responded to a request from a teacher in Nikopol
A story has gone viral online about a teacher from Nikopol who dreamed of giving her graduating class a special farewell message for their last day of school, and unexpectedly, this idea brought together dozens of Ukrainian celebrities who agreed to appear in a video for the students. The celebrities’ response was so overwhelming and heartfelt that the post quickly went viral, garnering thousands of likes and comments.
This refers to an initiative by photographer Vasylina, who reached out to public figures asking for help in creating a celebratory video for the 11th-grade students at Lyceum No. 4 in Nikopol, where her mother works as a homeroom teacher. Due to the war, it has been impossible to hold a traditional graduation ceremony in the city for several years, so the family decided to at least create an online greeting to give the children a sense of celebration.
The post quickly gained popularity on Threads, after which Ukrainian artists, bloggers, and TV hosts began responding, agreeing to record their video greetings for the students.

“I’m in,” wrote singer alyona alyona.
“Children are our everything. I’ll be happy to congratulate them,” noted the host and actor. “I
want to join in congratulating the children. Where should I send the video?” wrote chef Yevhen Klopotenko.

Among those planning to participate in the initiative are also Dasha Kvitkova, Grigory Reshetnik, Taras Stadnitsky, Skylerr, Yulia Yurina, Misha Lebiga, and other Ukrainian public figures who responded to the request to support the graduates.

After the post gained widespread attention, the author of the story admitted that she was overwhelmed by the celebrities’ reaction and even temporarily lost connection on social media due to the flood of messages. She noted that she hadn’t expected such support and called it a true miracle.
Later, the teacher herself, for whom the congratulations were being prepared, shared her reaction. She wrote to her daughter, moved to tears, and thanked her for such a gift, which was made possible thanks to the participation of dozens of Ukrainian celebrities.
