Ukrzaliznytsia took LELÉK to Eurovision
Singer LELÉKA, who is representing Ukraine at this year’s 70th Eurovision Song Contest, has left for Vienna. She will perform the song “Ridnym” in the second half of the second semifinal, which will take place on May 14.
Ukrzaliznytsia announced this on its Telegram channel.
The national railway operator called on everyone to support the singer and expressed hope for another victory for Ukraine. The post noted that they believe another crystal microphone will appear on the table in the train compartment. The first semifinal of the contest is scheduled for May 12, and the grand final will take place on May 16.
This year, the music event is taking place in Vienna at the Wiener Stadthalle. LELÉKA earned the right to represent the country at the national selection, receiving maximum support from the jury and the audience. Preparations for the performance are underway, and the Ukrainian delegation has already begun rehearsals on the main stage. Despite the challenges posed by Russia’s aggression, cultural diplomacy remains an important tool for Ukraine. The artist’s trip marked the symbolic start of the final stage of preparations for the show.
Earlier, it was announced who would be commentating on “Eurovision 2026” for Ukrainian viewers alongside the show’s longtime host, Timur Miroshnychenko.
The organizers of Eurovision 2026 have announced the running order for the semifinals. Ukrainian singer Leleka will take the stage as the 12th performer in the second semifinal. It will take place on May 14 in Vienna.
