Concerts and stage shows planned in the UAE for the coming months
A series of concerts, theatre productions, ballet performances and comedy shows are planned in the United Arab Emirates in the coming months in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah. The programme includes performances by Lebanese singers Najwa Karam and Nancy Ajram, Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, comedians Trevor Noah, Mo Amer and Russell Peters, as well as Riverdance and American Ballet Theatre shows.
A selection of upcoming events was reported by The National. According to the publication, the events will take place from September through December at Dubai Opera, Coca-Cola Arena, Etihad Arena, Emirates Palace and the Arts Centre at New York University Abu Dhabi.
Concerts in Dubai and Abu Dhabi
Najwa Karam will perform at Dubai's Coca-Cola Arena on 2 October. A concert by Nancy Ajram, known for the songs Akhasmak Ah, Ah W Noss and Ya Tabtab, is scheduled at the same venue on 24 October. On 25 October, British band Blue will mark 25 years by performing the hits All Rise, One Love and Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word at the Dubai Millennium Amphitheatre in Expo City Dubai.
Egyptian singers Tamer Hosny and Tamer Ashour will give a joint concert at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi on 17 October. Gipsy Kings by Andre Reyes will perform at Dubai Opera on 22 October with symphonic versions of Bamboleo, Djobi Djoba, Volare and Un Amor. British singer and pianist Benjamin Clementine will give a concert at Dubai Opera on 1 November.

Comedy, dance and the classical stage
South African comedian Trevor Noah will give four performances at Dubai Opera, on 25, 26, 28 and 29 November. As part of Abu Dhabi Comedy Season, Palestinian-American comedian Mo Amer is set to perform at Etihad Arena on 6 November, while a show by Iranian-American comedian Maz Jobrani is scheduled there the following day. Canadian comedian Russell Peters will also perform at Etihad Arena on 25 October.
The Riverdance dance show, dedicated to the production's 30th anniversary, will be staged at Etihad Arena on 31 October and 1 November. On 20 November, American Ballet Theatre will present at Emirates Palace a programme including Frederick Ashton's Birthday Offering, Jiří Kylián's Nuages, Brady Farrar's Trio Elegiaque and Paquita. Soprano Sondra Radvanovsky and pianist Vincenzo Scalera will perform arias and songs by Bellini, Verdi and Puccini in Abu Dhabi on 17 October.
During the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend, The Chainsmokers and The Script are scheduled to perform as part of the Etihad Live post-race concert series. Anyma is set to play at Yas Gateway Park as part of the official after-party concert series.
