Video: The trailer for *Mr. Kelly*, starring Johnny Depp and Penélope Cruz, has been released

The Ukrainian trailer for the action thriller “Mr. Kelly” (Day Drinker) has been released online. Johnny Depp and Penélope Cruz star in the film.

 

The plot centers on a mysterious bar patron named Mr. Kelly, who strikes up a conversation with the bartender, Lorna, who recently lost her loved one. It turns out that they are both connected through their acquaintance with the criminal Kara Lazzaro. And as the protagonist embarks on a path of dark revenge, his life and the bartender’s become intertwined in a very unexpected way.

The film stars Johnny Depp (“Edward Scissorhands,” “What’s Eating Gilbert Grape,” “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas,” “Sleepy Hollow,” “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street,” “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald,” the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise), Penélope Cruz (“All About My Mother,” “Vanilla Sky,” “Vicky Cristina Barcelona,” “Escobar,” “Parallel Mothers,” “The Bride,” “The Neighbors Upstairs”), and Madeline Klein (“Knives Out: The Glass Onion,” “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” and the TV series “Outer Shores”).

It’s worth noting that this isn’t the first time Depp and Cruz have worked together—they previously starred alongside each other in the crime drama “Blow” (2001), the adventure blockbuster “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” (2011), and the mystery “Murder on the Orient Express” (2017).
