The release date for *The Transporter*, starring Alan Ritchson and Owen Wilson, has been announced in Ukraine

It won’t be long before the comedy-action film premieres in Ukrainian theaters. Film distributor Green Light Films has announced the release date in Ukraine for the comedy-action film *Runner*, also known as *The Courier*. The film, starring Alan Ritchson and Owen Wilson, will hit theaters on October 1, 2026.

The film’s protagonist is Hank Malone, a former mercenary and now a premium-class courier who has only three hours to deliver a donor organ to a hospital and save a seven-year-old girl who urgently needs a transplant. But this simple mission turns into a deadly race when a criminal syndicate begins hunting for the cargo, as it’s worth a fortune on the black market. Joining Hank in this struggle is Ben Bishop—a medical courier whom Hank is reluctantly forced to transport and protect. They’re also accompanied by a very talkative parrot.

The film stars Alan Ritchson (“War Machine,” the TV series “Titans” and “Richer”) and Owen Wilson (“Meet the Parents,” "Shanghai Noon," "The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou," "Night at the Museum," "Midnight in Paris," and the TV series "Loki").

The film also features Rodrigo Santoro (“300,” “Ben-Hur,” the TV series “Lost” and “Westworld”), Leila George (“Mortal Engines,” the TV series “Disclaimer” and “The Beast Within”), and others.

The film was directed by American director and former stuntman Scott Waugh (“Law of Honor,” “Need for Speed,” “The Expendables 4”).

It’s worth noting that the film was released in U.S. theaters on September 11, 2026.

Currently, the film has a rating of 6.6 out of 10 on IMDb, while on Rotten Tomatoes it has a 77% approval rating from critics and an 89% rating from audiences. Meanwhile, on Metacritic, film critics rated it 55 out of 100, and the general audience rated it 5.7 out of 10, which in both cases corresponds to the description “mixed or average reviews.”
