The first trailer for "Ice Age 6" has been released
20th Century Studios has released the first trailer for the animated film *Ice Age: Meltdown*. This is the first feature-length installment in the *Ice Age* franchise in over a decade. The film is set to premiere in February of next year.
This was reported by Deadline.
The story unfolds in a frozen prehistoric world. At the center of the plot is Scrat the squirrel, who now has a baby. In the trailer, they compete for an acorn: eventually, Scrat gives the baby a smaller acorn, which she uses as a pacifier.
Meanwhile, an active volcano appears on screen, and the situation quickly escalates: lava flows engulf the area, forcing Scrat and the baby to jump from one ice floe to another to survive.
The first footage was shown at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. Actress Queen Latifah, who voices the mammoth Ellie, said that in the new film, the main characters find themselves at a “small crossroads in their lives.” A journey to a lost world awaits them, where they will face new dangers.
The “Ice Age” animated franchise began in 2002 with the film of the same name by directors Chris Wedge and Carlos Saldanha, which grossed over $383 million worldwide. Four more installments followed: “Ice Age 2: The Meltdown” (2006), “Ice Age 3: The Age of Dinosaurs” (2009), “Ice Age 4: Continental Drift” (2012), and “Ice Age: Collision Course” (2016). The franchise’s total box office revenue has exceeded $3.2 billion.
Voice actors John Leguizamo and Simon Pegg will also return to their roles in the new film. This is the first installment of the franchise produced without the involvement of Blue Sky Studios following its closure in April 2021. The film was produced by Lori Forte and Patrick Warlock.
The film "Couture" starring AngelinaJolie: a trailer in Ukrainian has been released.
As a reminder, a Ukrainian documentary film has been recognized as one of the best in the U.S.
Ukraine will be represented at the Oscars by Mstislav Chernov’s new film “2000 Meters to Andriivka.”
Also, the next James Bond film will be directed by Denis Villeneuve.
