The dollar and the euro are losing value in Ukraine as of August 28

On August 28, the exchange rates for the dollar and the euro fell at Ukrainian banks and currency exchange offices. At the same time, the dollar remains below 45 hryvnia, while the euro remains above 51 hryvnia.

 

As of the morning of August 28, the average dollar exchange rate at currency exchange offices is 44.80 UAH (+3 kopecks) for selling and 44.70 UAH (+2 kopecks) for buying.

The euro is currently selling for 52.14 UAH (-1 kopeck) at currency exchange offices and buying for 51.94 UAH (-1 kopeck).

Exchange Rates at Banks

PrivatBank is selling dollars at its branches today for 44.75 UAH (unchanged), while the rate for cards is 44.84 UAH (unchanged). You can buy euros at branches for 52.35 UAH (unchanged), and via cards for 52.35 UAH (unchanged).

Oschadbank sells dollars via “Mobile Oschad” at 44.75 UAH (unchanged), and for cards at 44.85 UAH (-5 kopecks). You can buy euros in the mobile app for 52.30 UAH (-5 kopecks), and via card for 52.50 UAH (-5 kopecks).

FUIB sells dollars at branches for 44.90 UAH (-10 kopecks), and at the commercial rate for 44.70 UAH (-10 kopecks). You can buy euros at the bank’s teller windows for 52.30 UAH (-10 kopecks).

Monobank sells dollars at 44.83 UAH (no change) and euros at 52.33 UAH (no change).

Where to Buy Currency Cheaper

Among major banks, PUMB currently offers the most favorable dollar selling rate at 44.70 UAH under the commercial rate.

Next are PrivatBank at its branches and Oschadbank via “Mobile Oschad”—at 44.75 UAH, Monobank—44.83 UAH, and PrivatBank for cards—44.84 UAH.

Oschadbank (for cards) sells the U.S. currency at the highest rate—44.85 UAH—followed by PUMB at its branches at 44.90 UAH.

If you’re buying euros, the lowest rate today is offered by Oschadbank via “Mobile Oschad” and PUMB—at 52.30 UAH each.

Next are Monobank at 52.33 UAH and PrivatBank at 52.35 UAH, while the European currency is most expensive at Oschadbank for card transactions at 52.50 UAH.

PUMB is offering the highest dollar buying rate today at its commercial rate—44.40 UAH.

The best place to sell euros is at Oschadbank via “Mobile Oschad”—51.70 UAH.

Next are Monobank—51.67 UAH, Oschadbank for cards and PrivatBank for cards—both at 51.60 UAH, PUMB—51.60 UAH, and at PrivatBank branches, the buying rate is 51.35 UAH.
