Fake "FBI" token scam spreading on TRON network
Currently, a scam token allegedly "from the FBI" is being widely distributed on the TRON network. Victims receive messages claiming their wallets are under investigation and are forced to undergo a "verification" process, threatening to freeze their funds otherwise. The FBI has already warned that no such verifications exist and advises against clicking on any links in these messages.

In 2024, the FBI launched its own Ethereum-based token called "The NexFundAI Token" and involved several companies accused of illegal market manipulations. As a result, four crypto firms and fourteen individuals have been formally charged.
These scam messages illustrate ongoing attempts to exploit cryptocurrency users through deceptive digital tactics, underscoring the importance of vigilance and skepticism toward unsolicited wallet-related requests.
The FBI, as a federal law enforcement agency, holds authority to investigate digital asset crimes and combat fraud, including initiatives like issuing an official token to expose wrongdoing.
Therefore, it is critical to recognize that any purported FBI requests for wallet verifications are fraudulent attempts to gain access to funds. Future law enforcement measures will likely focus on investigating and dismantling such scams.
