Exchange rates as of April 24: The dollar is rising, the euro is falling

The morning of April 24 saw mixed trends in Ukraine’s foreign exchange market.

While the cash dollar is showing a steady rise of 5–10 kopecks, the euro is losing value significantly at most major financial institutions and exchange offices.

According to market monitoring data, the average selling price of the dollar at bank teller windows currently stands at 44.16 UAH.

The cash market is responding to demand with a slight increase: at exchange offices, the dollar is being bought at an average of 43.90 UAH, which is 5 kopecks higher than previous figures.

The euro is showing negative dynamics today. At bank teller windows, the exchange rate has dropped to 51.85 UAH per unit, which is 10 kopecks less than yesterday.

The situation is similar at currency exchange offices: the European currency can be purchased for 51.60 UAH, while the selling price has remained stable at 51.40 UAH.

State-owned banks have also adjusted their digital exchange rates. PrivatBank and Oschadbank have significantly lowered the euro rate for card transactions—in some cases, the drop reached 27 kopecks.

Specifically, at PrivatBank, the non-cash euro exchange rate is set at 51.81 UAH, and at Oschadbank—52.00 UAH.

The situation with the dollar at the largest financial institutions remains relatively stable.

PrivatBank sells the US currency at teller windows for 44.15 UAH, while Monobank offers a rate of 44.23 UAH. PUMB lowered its teller window selling price to 44.30 UAH but raised its non-cash rate to 44.10 UAH.
