SpaceX, OpenAI and Anthropic prepare landmark IPOs in 2026
The three largest private US tech companies — SpaceX, OpenAI, and Anthropic — are preparing to launch initial public offerings potentially as early as this year, promising what could be the most lucrative period yet for their investors and advisors. These IPOs are expected to raise tens of billions of dollars, surpassing the combined total from around 200 US IPOs in 2025.

SpaceX, Elon Musk’s rocket manufacturer, along with AI labs OpenAI and Anthropic, are set to become some of the world’s largest public companies by market valuation upon listing. Peter Hébert, co-founder of venture capital firm Lux Capital, highlighted the rarity of seeing three major private companies simultaneously preparing to go public with such scale, describing the potential outcome as an "epic bonanza" for venture capitalists, bankers, and lawyers, albeit with some uncertainty about all three IPOs materializing within 2026.
Successful offerings from these tech giants could significantly boost sector interest, set new capital raising records, and create fresh opportunities for the market and investors in the coming years.
