Ukrainian officials reported a 16% increase in cryptocurrency holdings

Ukrainian government officials significantly increased the value of their declared virtual assets last year.

In total, officials filed 2,861 declarations in which they officially reported ownership of various types of cryptocurrency

This figure was 16% higher than in the previous reporting period.

According to the latest monitoring data from the OpenDataBot analytical platform, declarants submitted a total of 654,159 reports to the Unified State Register during this period.

Thus, digital currencies now officially appear in approximately every 230th report in Ukraine. The popularity of alternative financial instruments among government officials continues to grow rapidly.

Statistical data show a clear geographic distribution among digital coin holders. Kyiv and the Kyiv region are the clear leaders in this ranking, accounting for more than a quarter of all recorded crypto declarations.

The top five most active regions also include Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, and Lviv regions.

Among government agencies and law enforcement agencies, virtual assets are most frequently declared by employees of the National Police and the Prosecutor’s Office.

Representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also show high activity, accounting for 8.4% of all such reports.

The judicial branch accounts for 7.8% of the total, while city council representatives filed 6.9% of crypto declarations.

Ukrainian officials traditionally prefer three main cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin, Ethereum, and the stablecoin Tether.

The largest portfolio of Bitcoin was declared by Oleksandr Kizlyar, a deputy of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Council, who, together with his wife, owns 100 BTC worth 278.8 million UAH.

Second place on the list of record-holders went to People’s Deputy Oleg Bondarenko, who owns 80 BTC.

In the segment of the second most popular cryptocurrency, Ethereum, Oleksandr Kizlyar again holds the lead with a portfolio of 1,000 ETH. In second place is Kristina Pavlova, a representative of the Dnipro City Council’s Department of Public Works.

Her accounts officially show 130 ETH, indicating significant interest in digital assets among local officials.

Among supporters of the Tether stablecoin, Hanna Fazikosh, chair of the Transcarpathian Court of Appeals, declared the largest holdings of crypto dollars. The head of the judicial institution officially reported over 1.019 million USDT in her filing.

At the exchange rate at the time of filing, these assets are valued at approximately 46 million UAH.

This is evidenced by the latest monitoring data from the OpenDataBot analytical platform.
