A forecast for magnetic storms on July 9–10 has been published
Experts have released a forecast of solar activity for July 9–10, warning of possible magnetic storms. During periods of heightened geomagnetic activity, weather-sensitive people may experience headaches, fatigue, mood swings, and a general decline in well-being.
Geomagnetic activity is measured on a scale from 0 to 9. The planetary K-index is used for classification; a reading of 5 or higher indicates a strong magnetic storm.
On Thursday, July 9, solar activity with a K-index of 3.7 (green level) is expected, which corresponds to weak magnetic storms.
On Friday, July 10, solar activity with a K-index of 3.7 (green level) is expected, which corresponds to weak magnetic storms.
It is important to note that magnetic storm forecasts are subject to change, as solar activity researchers update their data every three hours.
