Ukraine to Establish Its First Center for Robotic Surgery

Ukraine will establish its first scientific and practical Center for Robotic Surgery. The center will perform surgeries using state-of-the-art robotic systems and train medical professionals in robotic treatment methods.

According to the Ministry of Health, a memorandum to this effect has already been signed. The center will focus on performing robotic surgical procedures, training and advancing the qualifications of doctors, as well as developing scientific research and international cooperation.

The project will be implemented in phases. Initially, educational programs will be launched at the P. L. Shupyk National Medical University of Ukraine, where specialists will be trained in robot-assisted surgery. Afterward, a team of physicians will be formed for clinical work, and the scope of medical care will be gradually expanded.

There are also plans to establish a national training center to train specialists from all regions of Ukraine. One of the world’s leading manufacturers of robotic surgical systems is expected to join the project.

The Ministry of Health notes that the opening of the center will help expand patients’ access to modern treatment methods and contribute to the development of high-tech medicine in Ukraine.

As a result, a healthy baby boy was born, and the mother avoided another surgery and a lengthy recovery.
