In the US, ADA continues review of expulsion of five members from conference — STAT News
In the United States, the American Diabetes Association (ADA) has not yet completed its internal review of the circumstances surrounding the expulsion of five members from a conference in New Orleans. According to STAT News, the expulsion took place on June 5.
Preliminary findings are not final
On September 1, the ADA released the main findings of an internal group that reviewed the incident. The full text of the review remained confidential, the association said. At the same time, members of the ADA Audit and Governance Committee (AGC) stated that the work had not yet been completed.

The committee's statement said that the initial findings did not take into account the full scope of the review, as well as some interviews conducted after those findings had been prepared.
Findings will be submitted to the board of directors
The AGC informed the board of directors that it is preparing additional findings. They may clarify or correct information provided earlier and may also lead to further action by the board of directors, the committee's statement said.
