Ukrainians aged 40 and older now have easier access to free medical checkups
Ukraine has revised the eligibility requirements for the "Health Screening 40+" program, which allows individuals to undergo a comprehensive medical examination at no cost.
This was reported by the State Enterprise “Diya.”
From now on, Ukrainians can apply to participate in the program immediately upon turning 40. Previously, they had to wait 30 days after their birthday to do so.
Once the funds are credited, participants will have two months to undergo the examination at a medical facility of their choice. If the funds are not used within this time, they will automatically be returned to the state budget.
For those who received funds under the program before May 1, 2026, a transition period applies—the funds can be used until June 30.
The program provides free comprehensive screening to identify risks of chronic diseases. It includes a questionnaire, assessment of risks for cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, and mental health, laboratory tests, blood pressure measurement, and a heart function check.
Based on the results of the examination, patients may receive lifestyle recommendations or referrals for additional diagnostics or treatment.
Applications can be submitted through “Diyu” or at a Public Service Center.
