The Black Sea seaport held Ukraine’s first auction for transshipment services via the Prozorro.Sales system.
This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister for Recovery and Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba.
According to him, five companies participated in the bidding for the mineral fertilizer transshipment lot, and the price rose from the starting bid of 197 UAH to 220 UAH per ton.
The port will provide transshipment services for 50,000 tons of cargo by September 30, 2026.
Kuleba noted that this is the first step toward implementing a new operating model for state-owned ports—one that is open, competitive, and transparent for businesses.
It is expected that this mechanism will be scaled up to cover the entire maritime sector of Ukraine.
Deputy Prime Minister for Ukraine’s Recovery Oleksiy Kuleba announced the implementation of additional security measures for maritime infrastructure during a working visit to the Odesa region on September 22.
