The official dollar exchange rate has once again hit a record high
The National Bank of Ukraine has set the official exchange rates for Wednesday, May 27, 2026. The U.S. dollar has once again reached a new all-time high, surpassing the previous record set on May 25 (44.26 hryvnia).
According to the regulator, the following rates will be in effect on May 27:
US dollar — 44.27 hryvnia (up 3 kopecks compared to the previous banking day);
Euro — 51.51 hryvnia (down by 1 kopeck).
Situation on the cash market
As of the morning of May 26, average exchange rates at bank tellers, currency exchange offices, and on Ukraine’s “black” market stood at the following levels:

Economic analysts note that the trend toward moderate growth in the US currency exchange rate may continue throughout June.
For comparison, the previous day (May 26), the official exchange rates stood at 44.24 hryvnia per dollar and 51.52 hryvnia per euro.
The total amount of deposits held by individuals and sole proprietors in Ukrainian banks increased by 40.1 billion hryvnias in April, reaching 1.68 trillion hryvnias.
