Focus on young shoppers
Expanding its range of own-brand products is expected to help Seven-Eleven Japan attract young shoppers and double its annual clothing sales compared with the previous fiscal year. Previously, the chain sold simply designed socks, T-shirts and stockings, mainly intended for urgent purchases.
FamilyMart leads Japan’s convenience-store clothing market. In 2021, the company launched its Convenience Wear line with distinctive designs and materials, and its clothing sales exceeded 20 billion yen in fiscal 2025. Lawson, for its part, sells clothing under the Muji brand of Japanese company Ryohin Keikaku.
