California Governor Gavin Newsom countered that the state is already boosting its film industry by expanding tax credits. Following Trump’s remarks, Hollywood stocks dipped briefly but quickly recovered: Paramount rose 2.7%, Warner Bros. 1.3%, while Netflix and Disney saw modest gains.
