How to organize unused space in a home in Cyprus — Cyprus Mail
In Cyprus, Cyprus Mail published an article on home organization that suggests using areas that often remain empty: the space under the bed, the corner under the stairs, walls, the back of doors, and narrow gaps between furniture. This can help free up space in rooms without expanding the home itself.
As Cyprus Mail reports, useful space can be utilized with storage systems, multifunctional furniture, shelves, hooks, containers, and baskets. The article compares such solutions to conditionally gaining several additional square metres in one’s own home.
Space under the stairs and bed
The corner under the stairs is recommended to be equipped with boxes or baskets for shoes, bags, toys, and other items that should be accessible but not left in sight. The landing on the upper floor in front of the rooms can also be used for a narrow shelf, a mirror, a shoe cabinet, or a small space for books.

For storing seasonal clothing, blankets, bed linen, and items that are not needed every day, it is suggested to use the space under the bed. This makes it possible to free up room in wardrobes without adding new furniture to the room.
