Koziatynsky announced a protest march in Kyiv on July 31
Veteran Dmytro Koziatynskyi has announced a protest march calling for dialogue and reforms in the defense sector, scheduled to take place in Kyiv on July 31 at 7:00 p.m. The march will start near the Taras Shevchenko monument in Shevchenko Park and end at Ivan Franko Square.
Koziatynskyi announced this on social media platform X, according to Ukrainska Pravda. He also encouraged residents of other cities to organize protest marches through their city centers, provided the security situation allows it.
“I invite everyone this Friday, July 31, at 7:00 p.m. in Kyiv to join the protest march calling for dialogue and reforms in the defense sector. Starting point: the Shevchenko monument in Shevchenko Park. End point: Ivan Franko Square,” the veteran wrote.

Kozyatynsky stated that in President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s July 27 interview, he did not hear answers to the questions that, according to him, are being raised by protesters in various cities. He called on the president to give Mykhailo Fedorov time to implement reforms—specifically, one year—and then evaluate the results.
Later, on July 28, the veteran asked people not to attend the daily rally at Ivan Franko Square and to “conserve their strength” ahead of the march on July 31. According to him, the rally commemorating the victims of Olenivka was canceled that day due to the threat of missile attacks.
Starting on July 16, protests took place in Kyiv and other cities demanding that Fedorov be reinstated as defense minister and that Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi be dismissed. On July 21, Zelenskyy announced that Mykhailo Drapatiy would be the new Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
