Sociologists have noted a decline in public trust in President Volodymyr Zelenskyy compared to March. They also assessed Ukrainians’ support for the idea of a second term for him.

This is according to a study by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS).

According to the poll, 58% of Ukrainians currently trust the president, while 36% do not. The trust-distrust balance stands at +22%.

Sociologists note that in March 2026, the figures were higher: the trust level was 62%, and distrust was 32%, resulting in a balance of +30%.

“Compared to March 2026, the trust level has dropped slightly. Specifically, the share of those who trust V. Zelenskyy has dropped from 62% to 58%, while the share of those who do not trust him has risen from 32% to 36%. Accordingly, the trust-distrust balance was +30% in March compared to +22% now,” the sociologists noted.
