Stefanchuk Discussed Strengthening Ukraine's Air Defense with Congressman McColl
Ruslan Stefanchuk, Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, met with U.S. Congressman Michael McCaul in Kyiv. The two sides discussed the outcomes of the NATO summit in Ankara and continued support for Ukraine.
According to Stefanchuk, special attention was paid to strengthening Ukraine’s air defense, particularly the possibility of obtaining licenses to manufacture interceptor missiles for Patriot systems capable of shooting down ballistic targets.
The meeting also covered the situation on the front lines, the needs of the Armed Forces, the development of the defense industry, Ukraine’s long-range capabilities, and increasing sanctions pressure on Russia.
Michael McCaul noted the successes of the Ukrainian military, the development of the defense-industrial complex, and the resilience of Ukrainian society.
