In Kyiv and other cities, protests calling for the return of Mykhailo Fedorov are now in their seventh day
Protests against the resignation of Mykhailo Fedorov as defense minister have been ongoing for seven days in Kyiv and other cities across Ukraine. Protesters are demanding that he be reinstated.
According to “Suspilne,” about 500 people gathered for the protest in Kyiv. The protesters stated that their demand for the dismissal of Oleksandr Syrskyi as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine had been heard, but they continue to insist on Fedorov’s return to the Ministry of Defense.
Protests also took place in Kropyvnytskyi, Mykolaiv, Dnipro, Lviv, Uzhhorod, and Ivano-Frankivsk.
Protests demanding Fedorov’s reinstatement as defense minister and Syrskyi’s dismissal lasted from July 16 to July 21. After six days of protests, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced Syrsky’s dismissal and the appointment of Mykhailo Drapaty as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
