Zelenskyy and Rutte will take part in a meeting of the coalition of the willing in Paris
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte will join a meeting of the “coalition of the willing” in Paris on July 13.
The main topic of the talks will be further strengthening support for Ukraine following the NATO summit. Participants will also discuss security guarantees in the event of a possible ceasefire, combating Russia’s “shadow fleet,” expanding military aid, developing the defense industry, and deepening cooperation among partner countries.
French President Emmanuel Macron plans to present new defense initiatives and proposals for joint military exercises, emphasizing the strengthening of Europe’s role in its own security.
It is also reported that Moldova and North Macedonia have joined the “coalition of the willing.” European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President António Costa are expected to attend.

On July 8, ahead of the NATO summit in Ankara, French President Emmanuel Macron went for his traditional morning jog through the streets of the Turkish capital. The French leader was accompanied by security guards and members of his delegation.
