Instagram starts adding tagged posts to profile grid
Instagram has started rolling out a feature that allows users to add posts in which they are tagged directly to their main profile grid. TechCrunch reports on the update.
How to add a tagged post
A tagged post can be added to the profile grid from a direct-message notification after being tagged, directly from the post page, or through the tagged posts tab. The post can later be removed from the main profile grid.
The original post remains where it was published. Adding it to the tagged person’s profile grid neither removes nor duplicates the original post. If it is removed from the grid, it will also remain in the tagged posts tab.

Collaboration opportunities
Instagram noted that the feature may be useful for collaborations between content creators: they will be able to display on their profiles posts in which they were tagged without republishing the material or using the option to invite co-authors. The tool may also be useful for brand campaigns involving several creators tagged in a single post.
The update is part of changes aimed at giving users broader control over the appearance of their profiles. In June, Instagram introduced a feature for changing the order of posts in the main grid. Other new tools on the platform include First Draft, which automatically trims selected video clips and removes pauses to create an initial edit, as well as Replace Audio for updating music in an already published post.
