Arsenal earned more than any other European champion

Arsenal emerged as the clear leader among the champions of Europe’s top leagues in terms of prize money for the 2025/26 season, earning over 223 million euros. Other Premier League giants also received substantial payouts, further underscoring the financial dominance of the English league. The gap with other leagues was significant and, in some cases, almost a chasm. This was reported by SalaryLeaks.

London’s Arsenal topped the ranking of European clubs by prize money in domestic championships, and this success was not only a sporting triumph but also a financial one, once again highlighting just how powerful the English Premier League remains.

At the end of the 2025/26 season, the Gunners earned over 223 million euros, outpacing even their closest rivals from England, as Manchester City received approximately 219.6 million, and Manchester United earned approximately 216 million euros, demonstrating just how close the competition was not only on the field but also in terms of final payouts. “The Premier League title will significantly improve the Gunners’ financial situation,” according to the analytical data from SalaryLeaks, which formed the basis of the ranking.

Next on the list are the champions of other leading European leagues, though their revenues are significantly lower: Barcelona earned around 180 million euros, Real Madrid—173 million, and Germany’s Bayern Munich—just over 107 million.

The champions of Italy and France posted even more modest figures—Inter Milan earned approximately €83 million, while Paris Saint-Germain received around €60 million, which only underscores the difference between the Premier League’s financial model and that of other top leagues.

Thus, the ranking clearly showed that the English Premier League not only attracts the strongest players but also remains the main financial hub of European soccer, where even an average team can earn more than the champions of other countries.
