Artem Dovbyk has officially transferred to Bologna

Ukrainian forward Artem Dovbyk has officially joined the Italian club Bologna. The Ukraine national team forward has moved from Roma on loan through the end of the season.

According to the club, Roma will continue to pay part of the player’s salary—3.5 million euros. Bologna has also secured the right to buy the Ukrainian player outright at the end of the loan period for approximately 17 million euros.

During the 2025–26 season, Dovbyk played 18 matches for Roma, scoring three goals and recording two assists. His contract with the Rome-based club runs through the summer of 2028.

As a reminder, European soccer associations will discuss this week the possibility of boycotting the World Cup if FIFA President Gianni Infantino proceeds with plans to create a new commercial structure and bring in private investors.

FIFA plans to change the management model for its major soccer tournaments. The organization is creating a new company to which the commercial rights to the World Cups will be transferred, and it intends to sell a portion of its shares to investors. One of the main contenders to participate in the project is said to be the fund of American billionaire Joshua Kushner—the brother of Ivanka Trump’s husband.
