Artem Stepanov responded to his first call-up to the Ukrainian national team
Artem Stepanov, a forward for the Dutch club Utrecht, has received his first call-up to the Ukrainian national team. The forward shared his feelings about his debut call-up to the “blue-and-yellows” training camp.
The 19-year-old Ukrainian was thrilled to receive the call-up from Andrea Maldera. Now he’s ready to show the “blue-and-yellows” coaching staff what he’s capable of. Stepanov also shared how he found out about the trip.
“I was looking at the roster announcement with my dad at home. Of course, we were happy, but I knew I had to make the national team. Everything is going very well for me right now, so I want to keep it up,” the forward admitted.
Stepanov has played five matches in the Dutch league this season. He has scored five goals. The striker is playing for Utrecht on loan from Bayer Leverkusen.
As a reminder, Arsenal and Manchester United have announced their lineups for the WSL match.
