In France, Paris FC head coach Liam Rosenior celebrated in front of the away fans after beating his former club Strasbourg 2-1 in the domestic championship. After the final whistle, a brief confrontation involving pushing broke out between the players of both teams, Sky Sports News reports.

Reaction after the final whistle

Near the end of the match, the stadium announcer asked Strasbourg fans to stop aggressive chants directed at Rosenior. After the game, the coach patted his chest and spread his arms, celebrating his team's victory in front of the away section.

Rosenior explained that his reaction was a response to the behavior of some fans. According to him, it concerned only a small group of Strasbourg supporters, although he described the club itself as “fantastic.”

Coach's statement

“A small section of fans, and I want to stress it was only a small section because Strasbourg is a fantastic club, behaved disrespectfully. They insulted my family. Our bench was very angry. So for me, that celebration was obviously a message. I will say no more about it,” Rosenior said.

The victory allowed Paris FC to retain its unbeaten status after five matches in the French championship. Rosenior left Strasbourg in January for a brief spell at Chelsea, which caused dissatisfaction among some supporters of his former team.
