Ghana reaches African Volleyball Championship quarterfinals — MyJoyOnline
Ghana’s men’s national volleyball team reached the quarterfinals of the African Championship on September 19 after defeating Chad in the round of 16. According to MyJoyOnline, the Ghanaian team won 3:0 in sets and will face Cameroon in the next round.
Victory in three sets
The first set was the most closely contested, with Ghana’s national team winning 25:19. In the next two sets, the Ghanaians extended their advantage: 25:13 in the second set and 25:15 in the third.

Before the match against Chad, Ghana’s team, known as the Black Spikers, defeated Kenya in the final Group A match. The round-of-16 encounter was not a difficult test for the Ghanaian national team.
Next opponent
Ghana will face Cameroon in the quarterfinals. The 2026 African Championship is one of the qualifying tournaments for the 2027 FIVB World Championship, as well as the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
