Australia seeks fifth straight win against Argentina
According to Channel NewsAsia, Australia’s national rugby team will seek a fifth consecutive victory in a Test match against Argentina. The game will take place on Saturday in Mendoza. For the Wallabies, it will be the second Test against Argentina after winning the first match last Saturday in San Salvador de Jujuy.
Support for the new coach
Australia’s new head coach, Les Kiss, who replaced Joe Schmidt last month, has received the players’ support. Winger Max Jorgensen said during a virtual press conference that Kiss had quickly introduced his own approach to working with the national team.
According to Jorgensen, the foundation of the team was formed during Schmidt’s two years in charge, while the new coach has added his own experience and given the team his style. Kiss won his first three matches in the role: two against Japan and the first Test against Argentina.

Preparation for the World Cup
Before ending his work with the national team, Schmidt led Australia to a victory over Italy in the Nations Championship at the end of July. Before that, the Wallabies had lost nine of 10 Test matches.
Jorgensen noted that the team is focusing on its own game and work process without being distracted by external pressure. The match in Mendoza will take place less than 13 months before the Rugby World Cup, which Australia will host.
