The 2026 Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan, will open on September 19 and run until October 4.
Composition of the Taiwanese delegation
According to the Taipei Times, Taiwan will send 482 athletes to the competition.
Members of the Taiwanese team will compete in 34 sports.
The delegation includes Lin Yi-chun, 45, who competes in shooting. These Asian Games will be the eighth of her career.

Olympic champions
Olympic champions are also expected to compete at the Games: badminton player Wang Chi-lin, weightlifter Kuo Hsing-chun and boxer Lin Yu-ting.
Previous Asian Games
At the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou, the Taiwanese team won 19 gold medals and finished sixth in the medal standings.
