Barcelona thrash Feyenoord 5:1 in Champions League
Barcelona defeated Feyenoord 5:1 in the opening Champions League match in Barcelona. The Catalans' captain Raphinha scored a brace, Cyprus Mail reports.
Raphinha's brace
The hosts opened the scoring as early as the third minute. Raphinha beat two defenders and sent the ball into the net with his left foot. In the 22nd minute, Karim Adeyemi doubled Barcelona's lead with a curling strike.
In the second half, Raphinha scored for a second time after a defence-splitting pass from Pedri. In the 77th minute, Lamine Yamal scored with a free kick through a gap in Feyenoord's wall.

Goals late in the match
In the 82nd minute, Sem Steijn reduced Feyenoord's deficit after slipping behind the defenders. However, substitute Gabriel Jesus scored Barcelona's fifth goal with his first touch, heading the ball into the net.
Stuttgart victory
In another match of the day, Stuttgart beat Viking 3:1 at home. Ermedin Demirovic scored a first-half hat-trick in 12 minutes. He opened the scoring in the 20th minute and, after Zlatko Tripic's equaliser in the 22nd minute, scored twice more — in the 26th and 32nd minutes.
