Dortmund's comeback attempt
After the break, the hosts stepped up their efforts: new signings Giannis Konstantelias and Konstantinos Karetsas came close to scoring. In the 75th minute, Borussia reduced the deficit as Fabio Silva finished a quick move involving three passes.
Dortmund could not equalize. In the 90th minute, Ramy Bensebaini received a straight red card for a foul on Bayern substitute Ismael Saibari. In stoppage time, Alexander Beier fired over the goal from close range. The new Bundesliga season will begin on Friday with Bayern's match against Stuttgart.
