Burnley and Derby draw 1-1 after stoppage-time goal — Sky Sports News

Burnley drew 1-1 with Derby County at their home ground, Turf Moor, in a Championship match. The visitors equalised in the third minute of stoppage time thanks to a goal by Mohammed Fuseini, Sky Sports News reports.

Amdouni goal in the first half

The hosts opened the scoring in the 34th minute. Swiss forward Zeki Amdouni headed in Lucas Pires' corner delivery at the far post. Derby goalkeeper Josh Vickers failed to deal with the ball reliably off his line, after which Amdouni sent it into the net.

Derby had chances to equalise before the break. Sammie Szmodics collided with goalkeeper Grégoire Coudet after a pass from Joe Ward, while subsequent shots by Ryan Hedges and Szmodics himself were blocked by Burnley defenders. Early in the second half, Coudet saved a shot from David Ozoh, and Hedges fired wide after a long throw-in.

Fuseini earns a draw for the visitors

Burnley also created chances for a second goal in the second half. Defender Dion Sanderson blocked a shot by Largie Ramazani, while Coudet later saved Bobby Clark's long-range effort.

However, in stoppage time, Rhian Brewster set up Fuseini for a shot. The Ghanaian winger, who joined Derby on loan from Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise on the final day of the transfer window, struck into the far corner, with the ball entering the goal off the inside of the post. It was Fuseini's first goal for the club.

Burnley remain without a league win and sit bottom of the table. The team failed to secure its first league victory since February, despite head coach Nicky Hayen calling the match a must-win beforehand.
