The Joshua–Fury fight is in danger of being called off
Anthony Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, has stated that he is prepared to completely cancel the highly anticipated fight against Tyson Fury, which is scheduled for November 20. The main point of contention is the venue for the fight: most organizers are insisting on New York, while AJ’s team is adamant that the fight take place in the UK.
Hearn emphasized that he would not have signed the preliminary contract if the fight were to take place in the U.S., and assured that this is not a bluff. According to him, Joshua’s team is prepared to deliberately forgo greater financial gain or make excessive demands of the organizers in exchange for agreeing to a U.S. venue, hoping in this way to force them to move the event to England.
