Bournemouth set unwanted Premier League record after draw with Newcastle
Bournemouth drew 2-2 with Newcastle United and became the first club in Premier League history to score first in their opening three matches of the season but fail to win any of them. This was reported by Cyprus Mail.

Marco Rose’s team dropped points for the third match in a row after taking the lead. Against Newcastle, Bournemouth were 2-0 ahead, but their opponents came back. Jacob Ramsey equalised in the 88th minute.
In their first three matches against Manchester City, Everton and Newcastle, Bournemouth held a one-goal lead in each case in the 84th minute. Overall, the club have lost seven points in matches they were winning.
Rose told TNT Sports that he was pleased with the confidence of his players. According to him, the team played very well in the first half and could have scored a third goal, but conceded with almost no warning. The coach added that the team need to analyse the negative moments, improve their game and learn how to see matches through to victory.

Newcastle remain unbeaten
Newcastle, under new head coach Matthias Jaissle, maintained their unbeaten run, with one win and two draws. This came despite the sales of key players Anthony Gordon, Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes.
Ramsey said Newcastle’s opening three matches had been good. In his view, the team were unfortunate not to beat Liverpool, earned a strong result against Tottenham and played well against Bournemouth. Jaissle acknowledged that his team could not match the opponents’ intensity in the first half and conceded twice, but praised the players for their response.
Next Tuesday, Bournemouth will play Lincoln City in the League Cup and will also prepare for their Europa League campaign. Rose stressed that the team need positive results amid a packed schedule.
