The Ukrainian men's national hockey team is ranked 19th in the world
The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) has updated the world rankings for men’s national teams following the 2025–2026 season.
Thanks to its successful performances, the Ukrainian national team has shown positive momentum and improved its standing in the rankings.
The Ukrainian team managed to demonstrate significant progress and climbed three spots in the updated rankings.
Currently, our national team has 3,995 points and officially holds 19th place in the world rankings. Thanks to their successful results this season, the Ukrainians have overtaken strong teams from Poland, Japan, and Romania in the standings.
Significant changes have also occurred among the top favorites at the top of the world rankings. The Swiss national team, which won “silver” at the World Championship, has become the new leader of the world rankings.
The Swiss have 5,335 points and a +2 rating, which allowed them to top the list of the world’s strongest hockey nations.
