Chornomorets snatched a victory from Kryvbas
Odessa's "Chornomorets" secured its first victory in the 2026/27 Ukrainian Premier League season. In the fourth round of the UPL, the team narrowly defeated Kryvbas 1–0 at home, scoring the decisive goal late in the match.
On Sunday, August 30, the fourth-round match of the Ukrainian Premier League between Chornomorets and Kryvbas took place in Odesa. The home team secured a 1–0 victory. Vitaliy Faraseyenko scored the only goal of the match in the 77th minute. This is Chornomorets’ first win of the current season. Prior to this, the Odesa team had lost to Polissya and LNZ.
“Kryvbas” also failed to earn any points in Odesa. After four rounds, the Kryvyi Rih club has 5 points. The Chornomorets vs. Kryvbas match was one of the games on Sunday’s schedule for Round 4. Overall, the round spanned four days—from August 28 to 31.

A victory over Kryvbas allowed Chornomorets to finally earn points in the league and climb out of last place after four rounds.
