Golfer Noh Seung-yul rises to third place in Ohio — Korea Herald
South Korean golfer Noh Seung-yul moved into sole third place after the third round of the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship in Columbus, Ohio, United States. He completed the round in 64 strokes, seven under par, Korea Herald reports.
Eight birdies in the round
At the Scarlet Course of Ohio State University Golf Club, Noh Seung-yul made eight birdies and one bogey. After three rounds, his score stands at 13 under par — 200 strokes in total. He climbed from the tie for 14th place after the previous round and trails the leader, American John Marshall Butler, by three strokes.
In the first round, Noh Seung-yul scored 63 strokes and shared the lead, but completed the course in 73 strokes in the second round. A successful third round returned him to contention for victory in the Korn Ferry Tour tournament with a $1.5 million prize fund.

Fight for a PGA Tour card
Noh Seung-yul is ranked 49th in the Korn Ferry Tour points standings. To earn a PGA Tour card for next season, he needs to finish the season in the top 20. After the competition in Columbus, the Compliance Solutions Championship and the Korn Ferry Tour Championship remain on the calendar.
Meanwhile, American Neal Shipley retained the lead after the third round of the Biltmore Championship, a PGA Tour tournament with a $5 million prize fund. At the Cliffs at Walnut Cove course in Asheville, North Carolina, he shot 65 and has a total score of 21 under par — 192. Jacob Bridgeman was fifth at 16 under par, while Jackson Koivun shared seventh place at 15 under par.
