Manchester United took the lead in the second half thanks to a goal by Julia Zigiotti Olme. She capitalised on a defensive error: she intercepted an inaccurate pass from Georgia Stanway and struck the ball between goalkeeper Misa Rodriguez’s legs.
The team was close to its first league victory under new coach Eva Olid. However, Holmberg at the far post connected with Williamson’s cross and volleyed the ball into the upper part of the goal. After the match, Olid told Sky Sports that her team was disappointed to lose the victory late in the game, but considered the draw probably a fair result.

After three matches, Manchester United remain without a win and sit in 13th place. Earlier, the team lost 1:2 to London City and was beaten 0:5 by Chelsea.
