Kane becomes fastest to 100 Bundesliga goals — Dawn

In Munich, Germany, Bayern thrashed Union Berlin 7-0 in a Bundesliga match. England striker and captain Harry Kane scored twice and became the fastest player to score 100 goals in the German championship, Dawn reports.

Kane scored his 100th and 101st Bundesliga goals in 98 matches. He surpassed the previous record of Cologne forward Dieter Müller, set in 1977, by 31 games. Overall, the Englishman has 156 goals in 156 matches for the Munich club in domestic and international competitions.

Kane told Sky Germany that he is proud to have reached the mark of 101 Bundesliga goals and is happy at Bayern. According to him, talks over his contract, which expires at the end of the season, are ongoing.

Saibari's first game

After an hour of play, Bayern head coach Vincent Kompany brought on Ismael Saibari, and seven minutes later the Moroccan footballer scored his first goal for Bayern. Davies found Saibari with a pass, after which he beat his marker and struck the ball into the net.

Olise later scored twice more: first, he beat goalkeeper Rønnow and found the near corner, then he fired an accurate shot from outside the penalty area. The Frenchman completed a hat-trick, while the Munich side recorded their biggest victory since the January match against Wolfsburg, which ended 8-1.

Bayern sporting director Max Eberl said the team wanted to head into the international break with a convincing result. After the victory, the reigning champions moved to the top of the Bundesliga table, although Freiburg and Borussia Dortmund could return to first place after Saturday's matches.
