Defender Alidu Seidu joins Nice on loan — MyJoyOnline
Ghanaian defender Alidu Seidu has moved from French club Rennes to Nice on loan until the end of the 2026/27 season. MyJoyOnline reported the transfer on September 18.
Loan until the end of the season
The 26-year-old footballer joined the Ligue 1 club as a “joker” signing. Nice’s need to strengthen its defence arose after injuries to Antoine Mendy and Moïse Bombito.

Seidu has experience playing in the top division of the French championship. He previously played for Clermont Foot and Rennes, from which he has now moved to the team from Nice.
Appearances for Ghana’s national team
At international level, the defender has made 25 appearances for Ghana’s national team. Seidu can play both at right-back and in central defence. During his loan spell at Nice, he will hope to receive regular playing time.
