The Ukrainian national hockey team has a new head coach to replace Khristich
The Ukrainian national hockey team will begin preparations for its appearances in the elite division of the World Championship under the guidance of its new head coach, Oleksandr Bobkin. He has taken over the position from Dmytro Khristich.
Under the guidance of their new coach, the “blue-and-yellows” will hold training camps and prepare for their historic debut in the tournament featuring the world’s strongest national teams.

Previously, the Ukrainian national hockey team was left without the coaching staff that had led the team back to the World Championship’s top division for the first time in 20 years. The Ukrainian Ice Hockey Federation did not renew the contracts of head coach Dmytro Khrystych, his assistant Oleg Shafarenko, and coach Ihor Karpenko. The parties were unable to agree on new financial terms following a successful season.
