Kuwait to host Saudi Super Cup for the first time
Kuwait will host the Saudi Super Cup football tournament for the first time: the four-team competition will take place on December 19–23 at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium. This was reported by Asharq Al-Awsat, citing the Saudi Arabian Football Federation.
Tournament participants
Al-Nassr, Al-Ahli, Al-Qadsiah and Al-Kholood will compete for the trophy. The draw for the semi-final matches is scheduled for October 14.
An agreement to hold the competition was signed in Riyadh by Saudi Arabian Football Federation President Bader Al-Reziza and Kuwait Football Association President Sheikh Ahmad Al-Yousef Al-Sabah. According to Al-Reziza, holding the tournament in Kuwait is intended to expand its regional reach, attract a wider audience and increase the competition's commercial appeal.

Eighth host venue
Kuwait will become the eighth host venue of the Saudi Super Cup. The tournament was previously held in Mecca, Riyadh, Jeddah, Abha, London, Abu Dhabi and Hong Kong.
The previous Saudi Super Cup was held in Hong Kong in August last year. Al-Ahli, the reigning Asian champion, then defeated Al-Nassr in a penalty shootout.
