Mykhailo Mudryk joins Tottenham on loan from Chelsea
Ukrainian footballer Mykhailo Mudryk has joined Tottenham from Chelsea on loan until the end of the season. Channel NewsAsia reports, citing Reuters. The move took place on September 1.
The 25-year-old winger said he was happy to join the club and work again with coach Roberto De Zerbi. According to Mudryk, he wants to help the team in attack and defence through his speed and creativity.
Working with De Zerbi
Mudryk has already worked under De Zerbi at Shakhtar Donetsk. The Italian coach said he knows the footballer's capabilities from an earlier stage of his career. He noted Mudryk's speed, his one-on-one play and ability to influence the course of a match, adding that he would demand a lot from the player.

Mudryk moved from Shakhtar to Chelsea in January 2023. He played 73 matches and scored 10 goals for the London club. The footballer also has 28 appearances for Ukraine's national team.
Anti-doping proceedings
In 2024, Mudryk's anti-doping sample recorded an adverse analytical finding for meldonium. Reuters reports that the Football Association banned the player for four years, but after an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, the suspension period was reduced by agreement between the Football Association and the World Anti-Doping Agency.
Centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo also moved from Chelsea to Tottenham alongside Mudryk. According to Reuters, his transfer fee was about £7 million.
