Neymar got into an argument with Remo fans after the Brazilian Cup match

Santos forward Neymar found himself at the center of a scandal following a Brazilian Cup round of 16 match. After the final whistle, the Brazilian soccer player got into a verbal altercation with Remo fans and team officials, and the conflict nearly escalated into a fight.

The incident occurred after Santos defeated Remo 1–0

Since the first leg ended in a scoreless draw, this result allowed Neymar’s team to advance to the next stage of the tournament.

According to local media reports, the dispute broke out in the tunnel area after the game ended. Fans and home team staff were drawn into the conflict, and the situation nearly escalated into a physical confrontation.

Details of the incident have not yet been disclosed.

Neymar returned to Santos in 2025, and his contract with the Brazilian club runs through the end of this year.

The soccer player remains the all-time leading scorer in the history of the Brazilian national team, having scored 80 goals in 130 matches for the national team.

With the Brazilian national team, Neymar became an Olympic champion in 2016 and also won the 2013 Confederations Cup.

Earlier, London’s Arsenal began negotiations regarding the transfer of Real Madrid and Brazilian national team forward Vinícius Júnior, offering the Spanish club up to 145 million euros.

As a reminder, Ukrainian forward Roman Yaremchuk was not included in Greek club Olympiacos’ roster for the Champions League third qualifying round matches against Dutch club Nijmegen.

UEFA has appointed the refereeing crews for both matches between Kyiv’s Dynamo and Azerbaijan’s Qarabağ in the third qualifying round of the 2026/2027 Conference League. The first leg in Lublin on August 6 will be officiated by a Danish crew led by Morten Krog, while the second leg in Baku on August 13 will be officiated by English referees led by Stuart Attwell.
