Orlando Pirates defeated Durban City 2-0 in a Betway Premiership match at Orlando Stadium in Soweto, South Africa. Defender Lebone Seema and forward Tshepang Moremi scored one goal each, allowing the team to cut the gap to league leaders Mamelodi Sundowns to four points.

According to TimesLIVE, Orlando Pirates have two games in hand. If they beat Marumo Gallants in their next league match, the team can reduce the gap to Sundowns to one point.

Second-half goals

The score remained goalless before the break. Durban City had a chance to score early in the match when midfielder Thailo Senger's shot deflected off Sipho Chaine. Late in the first half, Chaine also saved a shot by forward Jean Lubumba.

In the 58th minute, Seema opened the scoring with a header following a corner delivery by Kabelo Kgosiemang. It was the defender's second goal of the season. Ten minutes later, Moremi struck past goalkeeper Fredrick Asare after Durban City's defence failed to deal with the opposition's attack, setting the final score.
